Our New Signing Baby Shop0

Due to demands of family, writing, and daily life, I have decided to give up specifically carrying, storing, selling and shipping baby sign language products. It was fantastic while it lasted and I had a lot of fun.

I was able to set up a really fun online store through the Amazon.com affiliate program. I was able to add all of my favorite baby signing products and add tons more than I was ever able to feasibly carry. There are new books, DVD’s and other products coming out all the time and it’s great to be able to feature them in my store.

Amazon.com’s prices are extraordinary and I have shopped with them for years and years, starting back when all they had in stock was books. They ship fast and I have never had a problem with them.

Just Launched – Signing Baby Dictionary !1

May 21, 2006

I’m very excited to announce that after so many years of being on the web that I finally (with the help of a dear friend giving me the idea – thanks Robin!) have created a Signing Baby Dictionary. It isn’t fancy, but the kids sure are beautiful (hey, I’m their mom, I’m allowed). With these photographs of my own children demonstrating signs I hope that it will help you learn how to sign.

Today I’ve added again, baby, bath, bed, diaper, drink, eat, hat, milk and water.

The difference between these photos and the photos of the babies signing is that these photos are meant to teach, whereas the others are just really awesome and inspiring to look at (which is no small feat in and of itself). In other words, you may not be able to learn how to sign from a photo of a small baby signing water, but you can tell how to do it from this set of photos! Not only are the pictures clearer because the children are older, but I’ve added a line below each photo explaining how each sign is to be made.

I hope to have Lauren modeling here as well, but tonight she was not in a cooperative mood!! These photos are all of Corbin, who you will see in the other photo albums when he was a baby and toddler. He’s 7 years old now.

Edited to add: Lauren decided to show off too! Her signs tonight are: bird, monkey, more, bear, candy, cracker, hurt, book, cat, Mommy and Daddy.

Welcome to the new Signing With Your Baby!0

May 18, 2006

Today I am proud to announce that Signing With Your Baby has been reborn! From its first appearance on the web in the year 2000, signingbaby.com has undergone many changes.

One of the hopes I have is that more parents send in photos of their baby signing. With this new site, I have a much greater ability to add new photos. Looking at them is a lot more fun too – the main Photo page has thumbnails now! To learn how to contribute, please see this page.

I have more plans for Signing With Your Baby over the next few months. Stay tuned!

If you look to your right, you will see a list of everything new I have added to the site recently. As the site grows, check back often to see what’s new.

Thanks for visiting, and have fun exploring the new site.
